Mediation is my full-time job.

Since 2010 mediation has become my full-time job. I am a civil and commercial mediator at the Arbitration Chamber of Milan, at the Milan Bar Mediation Organization and at some private organizations. I am an international mediator at CEDR – Center for Effective Dispute Resolution in London and Neutral at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). I am also a family mediator and one of the professionals of Collaborative Practice.

A passion born more than twenty years ago.

I have been working in Alternative Dispute Resolution since the late ’90s. In 2000 I started my training as a mediator, a job I have been practising in the field since 2003. After years spent assisting clients as a litigation lawyer, I realized that my true mission was to help clients deal with their disputes constructively and look for solutions.

What was a passion became a profession, to which I have chosen to devote all my time, my experience, my thoughts and my energy. From 2003 to today I have mediated more than 1000 disputes, in the most varied fields and of very high economic value.

I invest in my skills.

The job of a mediator looks easy. Many improvise as mediators, thinking that common sense and interpersonal skills are enough. In fact mediation is a very complex art, often made of subtle nuances, which requires technical skills, soft skills, preparation and awareness. The quality and seriousness of a mediator’s training is therefore decisive.

From 2000 until today I have attended thousands of hours of training in mediation, negotiation, facilitation and participatory methods, communication techniques and conflict management. I learned the job directly from mediators and trainers of worldwide standing: Gary Friedman, David Hoffman, Robert Mnookin, William Ury, Joseph Folger, Jacqueline Morineau, Dwight Golann, Lisa Parkinson, Ken Cloke.

I hold a second-level Master’s degree in family and community mediation from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. I am accredited at CEDR – Center for Effective Dispute Resolution in London, the internationally recognised gold standard for the quality of mediators, and I am certified by IMI – International Mediation Institute and ISCT – International Society for Conflict Transformation. And I keep investing every year in quality training, to keep the level of my skills high.

I am myself a mediation trainer registered with the Italian Ministry of Justice and accredited at the Arbitration Chamber of Milan. Since 2012 I have been working with the University of Milan-Bicocca, teaching and running workshops on mediation and negotiation. I am also a teacher of the Center for Understanding in Conflict (California) for teaching mediation according to US standards.
