Who processes your data

What data this website collects

Browsing data. Like every website, the server automatically records some technical information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, date and time of the visit, pages requested. It is used to run the site, to keep it secure and to find faults.

Data you send. If you write to the email address or call the numbers on the Contact page, I process what you choose to share — name, contact details, the content of your message — in order to reply and, should we decide to work together, to handle the assignment.

Cookies. The site only uses technical cookies: the details are in the cookie policy.

This site has no contact forms, uses no analytics or profiling tools, does no behavioural advertising and shares data with nobody for commercial purposes.

Why I process this data

• Running the site and keeping it secure — legitimate interest of the controller (art. 6.1.f GDPR).
• Answering your requests and assessing a possible assignment — pre-contractual measures and contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
• Complying with legal obligations, including professional, tax and anti-money-laundering ones (art. 6.1.c GDPR).
• Loading the Google map on the Contact page — only with your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

Who the data may be shared with

Data is processed by the controller and by those working under his authority. It may be shared with:

• the website hosting provider, appointed as processor under art. 28 GDPR — to be completed: name and registered office of the provider;
• the technical suppliers who maintain the site, under the same terms;
• public authorities, where the law requires it.

Third-party services

• Google Fonts — the typefaces are requested from Google’s servers, which means your IP address is shared with Google. This can be avoided by hosting the fonts on the site itself: a technical choice still to be made.
• Google Maps — the map on the Contact page loads only if you accept it: until then no data is sent to Google.
• External links — some pages point to YouTube, LinkedIn, Google Drive and to the websites of course organisers: once there, their own privacy notices apply.

Google services may involve a transfer of data to the United States, on the basis of the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and of the Data Privacy Framework.

How long data is kept

• server technical logs: for as long as needed for the security of the site — to be confirmed with the hosting provider;
• correspondence: for as long as needed to deal with the request and, if a professional assignment follows, for the periods set by law and by professional rules;
• the cookie holding your cookie choice: six months.

Your rights

At any time you may ask for access to your data, its correction or erasure, the restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest (art. 15-22 GDPR). Where you gave consent, you may withdraw it, without affecting what was lawfully done before.

If you believe the processing breaches the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority — Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome — garanteprivacy.it) — or with the supervisory authority of your own country.

Other information

Processing browsing data is necessary in order to use the site; sharing your contact details is up to you, but without them I cannot reply. There is no automated decision-making and no profiling. The site is not aimed at children under fourteen and does not knowingly collect their data.
